Tell us a little about yourself and the role you play in your business:
I am a Regional Sales Manager for Texas (excluding Austin/San Antonio), Oklahoma, Colorado, Washington, Missouri and a few other states. I work alongside and mentor three local sales managers located in Houston, Amarillo and Tulsa. My day consists of helping builders manage their risk with our insurance and warranty products. I am a back-to-back Sales MVP recipient, 2025 incoming VP of the Greater Fort Worth Builders Association’s (GFWBA) Professional Women in Building (PWB) council, member of numerous local HBA’s, serve on several committees at Texas Association of Builders (TAB) and am a member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Spike Club.
How long have you been a member?
I have been a member of the ETBA since August 2019 and serve on the 2024 membership committee.
What experiences and past roles have led you to where you are today?
Blast from the past…I worked at RadioShack for 33 years managing the warranty and services programs. Since my goal to retire from RS was cut short and I desired to stay in the warranty industry, I transitioned from a Program Manager to an Account Relationship Manager. Who knew that my love for building relationships with my clients would lead me to where I am today in a sales position. I don’t consider myself a “salesperson” because honestly, I don’t like salespeople (LOL). I’m an advocate for our industry who strives each and every day to make my clients’ job easier.
Fun fact that people probably don’t know about you!
I LOVE to dance, listening to country music AND COWBOY BOOTS! I was the captain of my high school drill team so when the music starts, I feel the urge to dance (DJ…play Footloose). My favorite is a Texas two-step or waltz with my cowboy! My favorite concerts attended by far have been King George and Toby Keith. I am also the proud owner of 21 pairs of boots (and I’m not done yet) because “Life’s too short, buy the dang boots”.
What career advice do you live by? Who gave it to you?
Be kind, authentic, genuine, truthful and KNOW YOUR WORTH! Learned from my mentor and friend at RadioShack (and still today).
What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled to?
EVERYWHERE! But, hopefully I haven’t traveled to my favorite place YET. We will be embarking on a 14-day trip in September starting out in Athens, Greece. We will then venture to Santorini, Mykonos, Positano and then end up in Rome, Italy, where I will get to celebrate my birthday!
Any tips or advice for new members?
Get involved! Do business with a member! You get out of your membership what you put into it and you might just make a friend or two.
