Home and Design Show
Each year in February, the East Texas Builders Association puts on The Home & Design Show. It is open to the public and held at the Maude Cobb Convention Center in Longview, Texas. Members of ETBA set up booths in the convention center, so that the public can have the opportunity to visit with each member and talk about new home construction, remodeling, landscaping, financing and other services associated with home improvement or construction. This is a weekend event to give the public time to visit the ETBA members all under one roof. Tickets can be bought in advance or at the door with children under 12 admitted for free. Door prizes are given away to the public and are provided by members of ETBA.
As a non-profit organization, the ETBA organizes several special events every year. These events not only provide funds for the association, they also allow for networking opportunities for members. 100% of the Sporting Clays net proceeds benefit the James H. Kilpatrick Scholarship Fund. Also, remember to click on the Parade of Homes and Home & Design tab on the home page.
Parade of Homes
Each Spring and Fall, the Longview area Parade of Homes showcases the latest in home design. If you’re thinking about buying a new home, it will be worth your time to visit a Spring and/or Fall Parade of Homes. Even if you’re not looking to buy a new home, it’s always enjoyable to go and walk through at your own pace some of the area’s best new homes. When you’re ready to build, you’ll remember that house you loved or that builder you met.
The Longview area home parades are a great source of decorating ideas — after all, most of the houses are professionally furnished and decorated to reflect the latest trends. Consider these other benefits: You’ll also see first-hand the latest in architectural design, color, interior finishes and home technologies.
In addition, each Parade of Homes showcases the work of top architects, interior designers, landscapers, home automation specialists, kitchen and bath designers and manufacturers and suppliers of building products and services.
The Longview area Parade of Homes also give the public opportunity to network with the pros and gather information about products that interest them.
